Movie Preview: The Green Hornet
I'd be lying if I said I haven't been looking forward to this one for a while now. I know I'm biased because I'm a definite Seth Rogen fan, but there are several other reasons to be excited for this one, namely Michel Gondry and Christoph Waltz. Michel Gondry, for those of you who don't know, is the French director responsible for "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind". And this is Christoph Waltz's first major film since his Oscar-winning performance as Col. Hanz Landa, "The Jew Hunter", in Quentin Tarantino's "Inglourious Basterds".
Many have voiced their concerns about Seth Rogen playing The Green Hornet, but I honestly don't see what the problem is. The film is clearly an action comedy; it's not "The Dark Knight". And as long as you don't expect it to be, you'll probably have a good time. With Michel Gondry at the helm, there's sure to be some exciting visuals, and I'm excited to see Christoph Waltz as a gangster/crime lord. The film also stars Cameron Diaz and Tom Wilkinson.
